Life’s been throwing me around lately and therefore I have more beautiful food photography than I do blog entries. This is a “catch up” blog to make sure I don’t leave any thing out.
On the property, my housemate threw a clothing swap. Her and I had collected pounds of avo’s from one of her friend’s trees in Makawao. She said to me, “Can you do something with all these, for the party?” I, of course, said, “yes!”
From then on……. it was chocolate mousse time.
Another little something that my raw roomies and I whipped together was a morning bowl of brightness. Weeks have passed and I can hardly remember what this delicious dish included. I do know that we made sunflower/pumpkin seed milk and blended it with bananas and cocos and much, much more.
I’m a huge fan of garnishes! Can you tell? This one’s topped with gRAWnola, bananas, and raspberries!
For awhile I had gone dehydrator crazy, experimenting w/ different types of crackers, tortillas, eggplant bacon, and gRAWnolas. In the vitamix, I mixed together all the leftover produce from the fridge w/ some zucchini, fresh herbs and soaked flax seed. I poured the concoction on to teflex sheets in circles and it created the most amazing pliable tortillas! I was surprised! They were so versatile that I used them for tacos, sandwiches, and snacks. Check them out.
