Juicing Complete!

The beginning of September began with a 10 day juice feast.  Yep, only juice for 10 days!  It was splendid.  As usual, my creative juices began flowing and new ideas became a reality. When traveling the way I do, it’s impossible to carry all my essential kitchen belongings, such as a juicer, dehydrator, vitamix, food processor.  So, I take my vitamix everywhere and make due without the rest.  This juice feast was amazing because I threw whatever I had in the vitamix, blended it up, poured it through my nut milk bag (similar to cheese cloth), and VOILA……JUICE!!!  Normally, I’d throw it back in the vitamix with fresh lime juice (compliments to my roomies Tanya and Selby!) and himalayan sea salt!

Foaming Spicy Green Goodness

Green juices are my favorite!  I normally included celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger, and any good dark leafy greens I’ve got (kale, collards, chard, spinach)! This juice definitely  included a habanero pepper w/ some green onion and lime.

*A new trick I learned.  Green onions make your juice FROTHY! I like frothy drinks.  You only need one little green onion. Thanks Tanya!

* Habanero Pepper benifits: trigger endorphins, improve digestion, lower triglycerides, improve circulation, improve fat oxidation, decrease congestion, lower cholesterol levels, reduce high blood pressure, prevents blood clots and heart disease, protects against some kinds of cancer…… BEAUTIFUL!

This juice was a left over drink!  I bought an abundance of “green drink” ingredients and continued to use them everyday until they were all gone.  The final juice that came from this bag of goodness contained the typical celery, apple, kale, lemon, ginger, along with beet, green bean, lemongrass, daikon radish, burdock root and tons of love!! Give me anything and I’ll juice it!

Drink you beet juice daily and reduce your blood pressure!
